Account Credit on HostPanda Billing

29 October 2026 · 5 min read

Want prepaid balance for renewals? Account credit sits on Billing, shows a clear ledger, and is applied to upcoming renewals automatically.

A real wallet in the Client Area

Open Billing at my.hostpanda.uk and you will see Account credit with your current balance and a short history of top-ups, support credits and deductions. This is built into HostPanda, not a spreadsheet behind the scenes.

Available credit is deducted from upcoming subscription renewals before your card is charged. When credit covers part of a renewal, the remainder goes to the card on file. When credit covers the whole amount, you still get the usual invoice history in Billing.

How to add credit

Use Top up on the wallet card, choose an amount within the allowed range, and pay through the normal checkout flow. When payment completes, the balance updates and the ledger shows a top-up entry.

Support can also add courtesy credit when that is the right fix. Those entries appear in the same ledger so you can see what changed and when.

  • Billing → Account credit.
  • Top up when you want prepaid renewal balance.
  • Watch the ledger for top-ups and invoice deductions.
  • Credit applies to renewals automatically. You do not paste a code each month.

How this differs from Change plan unused time

When you upgrade or downgrade with Start now, unused time on the current plan is credited against the new package in the Change plan preview. That credit is for that mid-cycle switch. It does not move into the Account credit wallet as a separate pot of money.

Use Change plan when the package itself should change. Use Account credit when you want prepaid balance for renewals. Use Extend hosting when you want more time on the same package, where promo codes are allowed.

Requesting a cash refund of unused top-ups

If you no longer need prepaid Account credit, submit a wallet refund request from Billing in the Client Area. Our billing team reviews every request. There is no instant self-serve payout.

Approved top-up refunds use the same standard 8% processing fee as hosting money-back. Hosting-period proration does not apply to wallet balances. If that top-up used a promotional discount, the refund base is 50% of the eligible amount before the fee.
