Free SSL on Every HostPanda Plan
29 October 2026 · 4 min read
Browsers expect the padlock. HostPanda includes free SSL so your site can load over HTTPS without a separate certificate fee.
What visitors notice
Modern browsers warn people when a site still loads as plain http. That warning looks like a broken site even when the pages are fine. HTTPS encrypts the trip between the visitor and your server, which matters for logins, forms and everyday browsing.
Search engines also prefer pages that load securely. Free SSL isn't a magic ranking trick, but skipping it for a public site is an easy own goal.
What's included
Every HostPanda plan includes free SSL for your sites. You don't buy a separate certificate add-on to get the padlock on a normal website.
After your domain points at HostPanda, SSL is issued for that hostname. Temporary website addresses under sites.hostpanda.uk are covered too, so you can preview over HTTPS before go-live.
What you still need to do
Make sure internal links and assets use https (or root-relative paths) so the page doesn't mix secure and insecure files. Update any hardcoded old URLs after a migration.
If a page still shows a warning, tell us which URL fails. Often it's one leftover image or script still loading from an old http address.
