Keep Your Hosting Account Secure
29 October 2026 · 5 min read
Most hosting break-ins start with a reused password or a shared login. Here's how to harden your HostPanda account without making life miserable.
Start with the login you use every day
Use a unique password for my.hostpanda.uk. A password manager is fine; writing the same password you use for email is not. Enable multi-factor authentication in account security so a leaked password alone can't open the door.
Treat recovery codes like spare keys. Store them offline. Don't screenshot them into a shared album.
Limit who can touch the server
Invite developers through the service page instead of sharing your password. Revoke access when a contractor finishes. If someone only needs to update a page once, prefer a short invite over a permanent shared login.
Keep an eye on email from HostPanda about new sign-ins or security changes. If something looks wrong, change your password and contact us.
- Unique password for the client area.
- Multi-factor authentication turned on.
- Developer invites instead of shared passwords.
- Revoke access you no longer need.
What we won't ask you for
We won't email you asking for your password or a one-time code. Support replies from our real addresses. If a message feels off, open the client area yourself or write to us from the contact page rather than clicking a surprise link.
Good security is mostly habits. You don't need exotic tools. You need a private password, a second factor, and clear boundaries for anyone helping with the site.
